For ski courses the minimum age of the children is 3 years (Pitzi ski course). Our ski instructors teach the children in a playful way, so the kids have fun and learn skiing easily, without pressure. For the older ones (5 years and older) we offer our junior ski courses. Also in this courses we care about the fun, because only if the children like the ski course, they will learn skiing and get better in this sports activity.
Our snowboard courses are offered for persons who are 7 years and older. Younger children can book private lessons for snowboarding.
Yes, we offer trial hours for children from 2 to 4 years. This trial hours takes place in the practice area “Pitzipark” at the bottom station of the ski area. After the first trial hour you can decide with the ski instructor, if it make sense, that your child join a group of the Pitzi course for the next day.
Yes, all beginners (adults and children, from 5 years) needs a ski pass. Our practice areas are located at the middle station of the ski area. You have to use the cable car lift to reach the middle station and the practice areas.
3- and 4-year-old children, who participate at the Pitzi course, needs a ski pass, if they leave the practice area “Pitzipark” at the bottom station and use the pommel lift. You reach the “Pitzipark” by foot.
Please notice, that single tickets for the cable car lift is not a ski pass. With this card type your are not allowed to use the cable car lift and take your ski equipment with you. This tickets are only for pedestrians or tobogganists.
The grouping is divided according to the skill level and age of the children. If the children’s driving skills differ too much, it doesn’t make sense that they are in the same group.
In exceptional cases, the better skier has to ski in the lower group. But this is not useful for the child and it can’t take the best benefit out of the ski course.
Yes, due to the meeting times (children can be dropped off 15 minutes before the course starts), it is possible that both parents and children can take part in the ski courses. The meeting points of the juniors (children with 5 years and older) and the parents are located at the middle station of the ski area and they are very near together. It’s possible to reach the places in about 5 minutes by feet.
The meeting point for our Pitzi ski courses (3- and 4-year-olds) is at the bottom station in our “Pitzipark”. For this courses we offer an additional child care from 9.15 am – 10.45 am or from 11 am to 12.30 pm (depending on the booked course time), so that the parents have enough time to take the cable car lift to get to their meeting point at the middle station and after the parent’s ski course back again to the bottom station to pick up their child.
We recommend that you take the skischool days continously. The ski course is consecutive days for the optimal learning success. If you miss one day, then it is possible, that you have to change the group, because you are not at the same skill level of the group anymore.
We don’t have an own rental shop. In our onlineshop you also can book your equipment (skis, snowboard and boots) and pick it up at the sport shop Schultes Sports at the bottom station of the ski area.

Yes, we have an online shop, where you can book ski courses and private lessons.
Your advantages:
- A safe spot in the ski or snowboard course.
- No unnecessary waiting in our skischool office.
- Go directly to the meeting point, with your online ticket (in printed form!).
The rough grouping is done when you make your booking (online or in the skischool office). We, therefore, ask you to provide honest information about the participant’s skills. Should the instructor nevertheless find that a participant does not fit into the group and is over- or under-challenged, the group will be changed directly on the slope.
We know, that the assessment of the skills of the you or your children is not easy. Therefore we created a guide to our skill levels. After you answer a few questions, the guide shows you the perfect group/skill level. So it is possible to book the ski course(s) in our online shop and safe the spot in the courses.
If possible, we try to put together groups that are homogeneous in terms of age and also respond to personal requests.
If you book the ski courses online in advance, you receive your course ticket via e-mail. With this online ticket (which you print on a paper) you can go directly to the meeting point. In this case, you don’t have to wait in the skischool office.
Another advantage is, that you have a safe place in the group and our courses can’t be fully booked.
Yes, we offer half-day ski courses. However, we would like to point out that in the case of half-day courses, a frequent change of group and instructor is possible. This is due to the different learning progress within the group. Therefore we recommend booking fewer days but whole days!
It is possible, but it is cheaper if you book the whole week at once. If you book the ski course day by day it is the most expensive variant.
If you are not sure, if you like the ski course, you have the possibility to book 3 days. After 3 booked days our extension rate is valued.
You only get a refund if you had an accident, have an injury or if you are ill with a medical document of a local doctor. Only the difference will be refunded!
There will be no reimbursement of a ski or snowboard course, if you are late or if you aren’t not at the agreed meeting point.
No, there is no official helmet obligation in the ski or snowboard courses. But we recommend to wear a ski helmet for your security (also in the beginners courses).
We accept Maestro, V Pay, Mastercard, Visa or cash.
An answer to this question is very difficult. Everyone is different and also the learning process is different. It also depends on the personal goals, because skiing is not just skiing.
If you are not sure, if you like skiing, than we recommend to book 3 days ski course. After this 3 days you can extend the ski course with our extension rates, if you like skiing.
Our ski and snowboard instructors speak many different languages. We can offer private lessons in german, english, dutch, french, spanish and italian.
The group courses are offered in german and in english. If you book a group courses, we cannot promise, that your child get in a group with for example a dutch-speaking instructor. A special language only can guaranteed by booking private lessons.
A minimum number of participants doesn’t exist in our skischool. The group courses are also carried out, if there is only one person.
In order to be able to “survice” economically, we reserve the right to combine the offered skill levels or to shorten the lessons of the group courses with fewer than 3 participants.
Yes, we have ski races for our ski and snowboard group courses.
The ski race for juniors (children from 5 years) and also the snowboard race takes place on Thursday at the middle station of the ski area.
Each Friday the little one’s (3- and 4-year-olds) have their race at the bottom station in the practise area “Pitzipark”.
The race is included, if the children has ski or snowboard course at the race day. If the group course of the children stopped earlier, than you can buy a race ticket in the skischool office and the children can participate at the race in their ski or snowboard group.
We offer lunch time care (meal, drinks and child care) for all children of the junior courses (from 5 years) in our Pitzis Children Restaurant.
Your child has the advantage, that it has a reserved place in the restaurant and it can play after the lunch with their new friends of the ski course.
If your child suffers from allergies or intolerances, we ask you to inform the skischool office when booking. The request for a vegetarian meal or the renunciation of certain dishes (e.g. pork) must also be announced to the skischool office when booking so that this can be taken into account.
