Training for our ski instructors – we encourage and challenge our employees
All our teachers are qualified ski or snow sports instructors. But what would a one-off training be without regular refresher courses/training? That’s exactly why we hold at least one training session every week, where our ski and snowboard instructors can develop further and refresh their knowledge and skills. Our ski and snowboard instructors repeatedly discuss and train the skiing technique and the current curriculum in both theory and practice down to the smallest detail. The training also includes language courses, first aid and the further development of personal skiing or snowboarding skills.
Many people think that a ski instructor just has to ski in front of their course participants and do a few exercises in between, but that is neither the reality nor our requirements for our employees!
Every ski and snowboard instructor has to adapt the lessons to the ability of their group or their private course as best as possible and make them varied. There are, for example, big differences in offering children’s and adult courses. In addition, the instructor has to drive in front of the group and find suitable solutions or exercises for existing problems and habitual driving errors and then explain, demonstrate, and correct them. Which ski slope is best suited to the current ability and the exercise we are going to do? These are just two of many questions that every ski instructor has to ask themselves several times a day.
These are exactly the things that are trained in our ski instructor training. So that every ski instructor always knows what to do and the guest can manage the various descents on and off-piste much more safely and elegantly after each ski course.
Conclusion – How do I become a ski instructor and what requirements do ski instructors have to meet?
The ski instructor job is versatile, varied, sporty and very communicative. Pupils and students like to use this opportunity as a holiday job during the main holiday periods to leave the stress of school behind them. Would you like to take a gap year? Why not become a ski instructor for an entire winter season?
The majority of people who have once practised this wonderful profession stay “stuck” with it for a certain period of time. We are proud of this because it shows that we do a lot of things right when dealing with our employees and we are always happy about the opportunity to welcome new ski instructors to our team.
